Itinerary for snowshoeing: la Mazure (black)

Snowshoe itinerary starting from the resort. This signposted route takes you through the forest to the charming hamlet of La Mazure. You can return by shuttle bus. Map available at the Tourist Office.

Take the tarmac road for about 150m. After the flat area in front of the chalets, put on your snowshoes. Cross the ski slope, paying attention to the skiers. Continue up a gentle slope towards the hamlet of Planay above. At the end of the forest, admire the panorama of the Tarentaise valley. Go down towards the hamlet of Planay dessus and cross it. After a hundred meters, put on your snowshoes and take the path on the left. Be careful on the steep and sloping path on the first part until the hamlet of Planay below. Take off your snowshoes and cross the hamlet with its traditional architecture. At the bachal (wash house), put on your snowshoes again and take the path on the LEFT. At the cross continue straight on between the 2 chalets, Do not take the road, and take the path that goes down. At the road turn LEFT at the hairpin and continue downhill until the next intersection with the road. Continue on the tarmac road and take the path downhill on your RIGHT to the Plan de Suel house. After passing the house, take the path on your RIGHT. Well stay on the main path until you reach the hamlet of La Mazure. Visit this charming hamlet and its gourmet restaurants. Return by the same path or take the shuttle bus. Be careful with the timetable, anticipate your return.
